In 2006, the Providence Steamboat Company was acquired by the McAllister Towing and Transportation Company of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.
Powered by two, EMD 12-645 E6 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.08:1. Turning two, 40(in) by 81(in) stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.
Her capacities are 30,000 gallons of fuel oil, 500 gallons of lube oil and 2,200 gallons of potable water.
The tug's towing equipment consists of an Almon Johnson, single drum, towing winch. Equipped with 1,200 (ft) of 1.5(in) towing wire.
