Built in 1969, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #216) as the Lawton M. Calhoun for the Atlantic Towing Company Incorporated of Savannah, Georgia.

In 1990, the Atlantic Towing Company Incorporated was acquired by the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Cynthia Turecamo.

In 1998, the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation was acquired by the Moran Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2016, the tug was phased out of service. And, she was "laid up" at Charleston, South Carolina.

In 2017, she was acquired by undisclosed interests in the Caribbean. Where the tug was renamed as the Lady Ester. She was a single screw tug, rated at 2,875 horsepower.
