Built in 1984, by Sanchez Marine Shipbuilding Incorporated of Fall River, Massachusetts (hull #8305) as the Shamon.

In 1986, the tug was acquired by Hvide Marine Incorporated of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Broward.

In 1996, Hvide Marine Incorporated renamed the tug as the Cape Canaveral.

In 2000, Hvide Marine Incorporated was acquired by Seabulk Towing Services Incorporated of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2002, SeaBulk Towing Services renamed the tug as the Hollywood.

In 2003, the tug was chartered to the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Signet Enterprise.

Where the tug worked in cooperation with the Brownsville, Texas Fire Department. Providing fire fighting support for the growing Port activities. Equipped with a large capacity fire pump, and "water cannon.” Which was capable of pumping 3,200 gallons of seawater per minute. To fight any fire plus the tug could carry 720 gallons of foam to use on oil or chemical fires when needed.

In 2005, she was returned to SeaBulk Towing Services Incorporated of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Hollywood.

In 2016, the tug was chartered "bareboat" to the Tradewinds Towing Company of St. Augustine, Florida. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, she was acquired by the Tradewinds Towing Company of St. Augustine, Florida. Where the tug was renamed as the Caitlin.

Powered by two, EMD 16-645-E2 diesel engines. With Haley Marine RM-2135 reduction gears, at a ratio of 4:25:1. Turning two, four bladed, 116(in) diameter, stainless steel, fixed pitch, with 74(in) pitch for a propellers For a rated 4,200 horsepower.

The tug's electrical service is provided by a 60kW generator set driven by one Detroit Diesel 6-71N diesel engine. And, one 65kW generator set driven by one Detroit Diesel 6-71N diesel engine. Her capacities are 76,000 gallons of fuel oil, 2,000 gallons of lube and hydraulic oil, and 7,000 gallons of potable water.

Her towing equipment consists of a Markey TDSD-32, double drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 2(in) towing wire on each drum.
