Built in 2017, by the Nichols Brothers Boatbuilders Incorporated of Freeland, Washington (hull #186) as the Mount Baker for the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas.

In 2021, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Lake Union in Seattle, Washington.

In 2022, she as acquired by Young Brothers Incorporated of Honolulu, Hawaii. A subsidiary of Foss Marine Holdings of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3516C diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF 873 reduction gears. Turning two, NautiCAN, 104(in) by 101.56(in), fixed pitch propellers, mounted in fixed kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 5,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, John Deere 6090AFM85 generator sets. Driven by two, C7.1 Caterpillar diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 158,000 gallons of fuel, and 11,000 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of a Markey TESD-34 towing winch, mounted on her stern. And one, Markey CEW-60, electric capstan, mounted on her stern, with a Smith Berger towing pin system.
