Built in 1938, at Baltimore, Maryland as the Charles Wright II for the Vane Brothers Company of Baltimore, Maryland.

In 1940, the vessel was acquired by the United States Navy. Where she was designated as the YOG-1.

In 1947, she was scrapped. She was a single screw tanker, rated at 40 horsepower.
