LONGVIEW

Built in 1950 by Albina Engine & Machine Works of Portland, Oregon as the Longview (hull #251) for the Atlas Tugboat Company of Longview, Washington.

She was later acquired by Longview Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington, a subsidiary of Smith Tug and Barge Company of Rainier, Oregon, where the tug retained her name.

In 1977 Smith Tug and Barge was acquired by the Knappton Towboat Company of Astoria, Oregon, where the tug retained her name.

She has since been acquired by a series of individuals, where her name was retained.
