Built in 1976, by Albert Ortis Boatbuilding Incorporated of Krotz Springs, Louisiana (hull #16) as the Creole Mama for Hollywood Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she was retained her name.

In 2016, she was acquired by the Darbor Marine Company of Kenner, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Ms. Addison.

She is a twin screw, towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
