Built in 2013, by Raymond and Associates of Bayou La Batre, Alabama (hull #505) as the SCF Vision for the SCF Liquids Company of St. Rose, Louisiana.
In 2016, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Lavaca.
She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,400 horsepower.
