Built in 1965, by Main Iron Works Incorporated Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #138) as the Esso Louisiana for the Esso Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware.

In 1972, the Esso Shipping Company became the Exxon Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware where the tug was renamed as the Exxon Louisiana.

In 1984, the tug was acquired by K.G. Marine Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Shannon Bourg.

In 1986, she was acquired by the Alamo Marine Company Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Medina.

In 1989, the tug was acquired by Dixie Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 1998, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, the tug was acquired by the Ohio Salvage Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where she was renamed as the Morgan Leigh.

Powered by two, Cummins QSK19-M diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.1:1. She is a twin screw, towboat, rated at 1,320 horsepower.
