SENATOR STENNIS

Built in 1973, by Superior Boat Works Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #121) as the Rusty Flowers for the Flowers Transportation Company Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi.

In 1975, the tug was sold, where she was renamed as the Tangipahoa.

In 1978, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug was renamed the Senator Stennis.

In 2021, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Rosedale, Mississippi.

Powered by two, GM 16-567 diesel engines. She was a twin screw towboat rated at 3,200 horsepower.
