CHRISTIAN REINAUER
Built in 2001, by Alabama Shipyard Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama (hull #88) as the Christian Reinauer for the Reinauer Transportation Companies of Staten Island, New York.
She was the second ATLANTIC II class tug designed by Robert Hill of Ocean Tug and Barge Engineering of Milford, Massachusetts for the Reinauer Transportation Companies.
Powered by two, twelve cylinder, Caterpillar 3612 DITA diesel engines. With Lufkin reduction gears. Turning two, cast steel, Rolls Royce, new generation, five bladed propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 7,200 horsepower.
Outfitted with an INTERcon coupler system. Her electrical vessel is provided by two, 99kW, Caterpillar 3306 generator sets. With a third 99kW, Caterpillar 3306 generator set, for auxiliary power. The tug's capacities are 154,173 gallons of fuel, 17,447 gallons of water, 3,862 of lube oil, and 48,040 of ballast.
