ISLAND FOX (1981)

Built in 1981, by Dakota Creek Industries of Anacortes, Washington (hull #13) as the Arctic Fox for Bering Marine Incorporated of Seattle, Washington.

In 1995, she was acquired by Brusco Tug and Barge Incorporated of Longview, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as the Arctic Knight.

In 2000, the tug was acquired by Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California. Where the she was renamed as the Point Brower.

In 2007, she was acquried by Stevens Towing Company of Yonges Island, South Carolina. Where the tug was renamed as the Island Fox.

In 2014, the tug was acquired by the Portside Towing Company of Kingston, Jamaica. Where she was renamed as G.F. Munro.

She was powered by two, Caterpillar D398 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.18:1. Turning two, four bladed, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. For a rated 2,110 horsepower.

The towing equipment consisted of a Markey TYS- 24, single drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 1,900(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire. A hydraulic tow pin assembly aft, and two, barge winches mounted on her bow.
