Built in 1965, by Martinolich Shipbuilding Incorporated of Tacoma, Washington as the Josie Foss for the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington.

In 1987, the tug was acquired by the Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Roland Brusco Sr.

She is a single screw tug, rated at 1,720 horsepower.
