PACIFIC VIKING

Built in 1976, by the Pacific Towboat and Salvage Company of Long Beach, California as the Pacific Viking for the Pacific Towboat and Salvage Company of Long Beach, California

The Pacific Towboat and Salvage company operated as a component of the Dillingham Corporation of Seattle, Washington. As part of a restructuring in 1986, along with all other Dillingham maritime transportation operations, the company was placed under the Foss Maritime umbrella. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1987, Foss Maritime and its subsidiaries were acquired by Saltchuk Resources Incorporated of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

The tug was later transferred to the fleet of the Foss Marine Holdings Company of Seattle, Washington. Where she retained her name.

She was later transferred to Foss Maritime's independently operated subsidiary, the Young Brothers Company Incorporated of Honolulu, Hawaii. Where the tug was renamed as the Mikiona.

In 2021, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Honolulu, Hawaii.

She is a twin screw tug rated at 2,850 horsepower.
