Built in 1943 by Tampa Marine of Tampa, Florida as the LT-130 for the United States Army.
In 1965, the tug was acquired by the Pacific Towboat and Salvage Company of Long Beach, California. Where she was renamed as the Pacific Ranger.
In 1996, she was acquired by the Sause Brothers Ocean Towing Company of Coos Bay, Oregon. Where the tug was renamed as the Tillamook.
In 1997, the tug was acquired by Vessel Acquisition, LLC of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.
In 2000, she was seized through legal action by Premium Rice Trading Incorporated of Houston, Texas and sold. At that time the tug was acquired by Haliday Limited of Panama and reflagged to Panama. Where she was renamed as the Pacific Salvor.
In 2003, the tug was acquired by Polanda SA of Guayaquil, Ecuador and reflagged to Ecuador. Where she retained her name.
In 2006, she was leased to Offshore Express LLC of Houma, Lousiana and reflagged to Panama. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2015, the tug was acquired by Pacific Towing PNG Limited of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and reflagged to Papua New Guinea. Where she retained her name.
In 2016, she was acquired by IMI del Peru SAC of Piura, Peru and reflagged to Peru. Where the tug retained her name.
