Built in 1954 by Albina Machine and Engine Works of Portland, Oregon as the Peter J (hull #289) for the Knappton Towboat Company of Astoria, Oregon.

The tug was later sold and renamed as the Batman.

She was eventually acquired by the Bergerson Construction Company of Astoria, Oregon. Where the tug was renamed as the Cindy Lou.

On 29 January, 1996, the tug sank. She was not salvaged.
