In 1990, the tug was acquired by the Brix Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Richard M.
In 1993, the Brix Maritime Company was acquired by Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2008, the tug was transferred to the Foss Maritime subsidiary, AmNav Maritime Services Incorporated of Oakland, California. Where she was renamed as the Atlas.
In 2009, she was acquired by Dawn Marine Services Incorporated of Gretna, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Bering Dawn.
Powered by two, Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.19:1. Turning two 72(in) by 73(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch, propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,200 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by one, 65kW generator set. And, one 50kW generator set. The tug's capacities are 40,100 gallons of fuel, 600 gallons of lube oil, and 10,000 gallons of potable water.
The towing equipment consists of a Smatco, double drum, waterfall towing winch. Outfitted with 1,800(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire on the primary drum. And 1,900(ft) of 1.5(in) towing wire on the secondary drum.
