Built in 1977 by Sea Service Private Limited at Singapore as the Salvacheer.

She was later renamed as the Don Juan Tenorio.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Seabridge Incorporated, the ocean towing component of the Cabras Marine Corporation of Piti, Guam. Where she was transferred to the United States flag and renamed as the Cardinal.
