Built in 1977, by Sea Service Private Limited of Singapore as the Salvacheer for the Coselsing Party Limited of Singapore.

In 2005, the tug was acquired by Interests based in Port Vila, in the Republic of Vanuatu. Where she was renamed as the Don Juan Tenorio.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Seabridge Incorporated, the ocean towing component of the Cabras Marine Corporation of Piti, Guam. Where she was transferred to the United States flag, and renamed as the Cardinal.

Powered by two, six cylinder, Yanmar Diesel 6UA-ST diesel engines. Turning two, bronze, fixed pitch propellers.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 50kW generator sets.
