Built in 1968 by Osaka Shipbuilding at Osaka, Japan as the Toho Maru.

The tug was later renamed as the Uno Maru, then the Celtic.

In 1999, she was acquired by the Saipan Marine Corporation, a component of the Cabras Marine Corporation of Piti, Guam. Where the tug was renamed as the Taga.
