In 2005, the tug was acquired by Hornbeck Offshore Transportation of Covington, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Patriot Service.
In 2013, Hornbeck Offshore Transportation's tug division was acquired by Genesis Energy of Houston, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2016, the Genesis Marine Company renamed the tug as the Genesis Patriot.
Powered by two, EMD 16-645 E5C diesel engines. Turning two, four bladed, high efficiency 134(in), fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 6,140 horsepower.
Her electrical is provided by two, 150kW Detroit Diesel generator sets. The tug's capacities are 153,220 gallons of fuel, 17,963 gallons of water, and 53,891 gallons of ballast.
The tug's towing gear consists of a single drum, Markey TDSD-32 towing winch. Equipped with 2,500(ft) of 2.25(in) diameter stainless steel cable.
In 2016, the tug was outfitted with an Articouple KVC-6068S coupler system. The tug's towing equipment was removed. And, she was "married" with the 370(ft), by 78(ft), by 37(ft), 111,000(bbl) barge, the GM 13501.
