Built in 1983, by Eastern Marine Incorporated of Panama City, Florida (hull #76) as the Wild Cat for the Florida Barge Lines Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 2000, the tug was acquired by the Dann Marine Towing Company of Chesapeake City, Maryland. Where she was renamed as the Crystal Coast.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3508 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG-540 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.18:1. Turning two, 72(in) by 53(in), fixed pitch propellers. For a rated 1,700 horsepower.

The tug's electrical service is provided by two, 50kW, Delco generator sets. Driven by two, Detroit Diesel 4-71 engines. Her capacities are 17,000 gallons of fuel oil, 480 gallons of lube oil, 500 gallons of waste oil, 3,000 gallons of water.

The towing gear consists of two, 40 ton, Patterson 40E-5-15 40 ton winches outfitted with 90(ft) of 1(in) spectra line. And two, additional 10 ton, bow mounted Parker/Nabrico LR/LL 100 winches.
