Built in 1963, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #121) as the Albert Cenac for the Cenac Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.

In 1994, the tug was acquired by Action Marine Incorporated of Luling, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2008, she was acquired by Canadian Interests. Where the tug was renamed as the Big Ben.

She was a twin screw tug, rated at 1,000 horsepower.
