Built in 1977, by Rayco Shipbuilders and Repairs Incorporated of Bourg, Louisiana (hull #53) as the Norma Reeves for the Reeves Marine Service Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana.

In 1985, the tug was acquired by Hilton Towing Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Little Hilton.

In 1990, she was acquired by the LeBeouf Brothers Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Creole Spirit.

Rebuilt in 1980, following a fire. She is powered by two, Cummins KTA19-M3 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG518 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.48:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW, John Deere 4045 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 10,000 gallons of fuel, and 6,000 gallons of water.
