Designed to work in the Columbia River, she has a flat bow to allow her to come up against the flat of a ship's transom, acting like an outboard motor to the ship, especially in areas where there is not room for indirect escort maneuvers.
Powered by two, Tier IV compliant GE 12V250 diesel engines, with two Rolls-Royce US 305 z-drives. She is a twin screw tractor tug, rated at 8,400 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two Tier III compliant, John Deere 6090A generator sets.
