STE. MARIE II

Built in 1913, by the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, Ohio (hull #26) as the Michigan for the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, Ohio.

In 1978, the tug was acquired by the North Central Maritime Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Where she was renamed as the Ste. Marie II.

In 1981, she was acquired by the North American Towing Company of Duluth, Minnesota. A subsidy of the North Central Maritime Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Where the tug was renamed as the Dakota.

In 1992, the tug was acquired by Egan Marine Incorporated of Lemont, Illinois. Where the tug was renamed as the Ethel E.

In 1992, she was acquired by the Calumet River Fleeting Company of Chicago, Illinois. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2002, the tug was acquired by the Selvick Marine Towing Company of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Where she was renamed as the Jacquelyn Nicole.

In 2016, she was scrapped.

In 1953, the tug was converted to diesel propulsion at Paasch Marine Service of Erie, Pennsylvania. Powered by a single EMD 12-567ATL diesel engine. She was later repowered with an EMD 12-567C. Turning one 84(in) by 80(in), four bladed, fixed pitch, stainless steel propeller, in a Kort nozzle. She is a single screw tug, rated at 900 horsepower.
