Built in 1982, by the Louis G. Ortis Boat Company of Krotz Springs, Louisiana (hull #152) as the Lucille Brooks for the Capital Towing Corporation of Houston, Texas.

In 2006, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name. But, was operated by the Capital Towing Corporation of Houston, Texas.

In 2012, she was returned to the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, the tug was acquired by Magnolia Tugs Incorporated of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

Powered by three, Caterpillar 3408BTA diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.48:1. She is a triple screw, towboat, rated at 1,500 horsepower.
