Built in 2007, by Orange Shipyard Incorporated of Orange, Texas (hull #H383) as the Hector P. for the South Puerto Rico Towing Company of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico.

The tug is a modified Ramparts 3000 class tug, designed by naval architecture firm Robert Allen Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Powered by two, rebuilt, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-645 E7 diesel engines. With Schottel SPR 1212 z-drives for a rated 4,300 horsepower.

The tug's capacities are 70,308 gallons of fuel, and 11,101 gallons of water.

Her towing equipment consists of two JonRie InterTech winches, with one mounted on her bow. And one mounted on her stern, with an independent drive-level wind system.
