Built in 1976, by F. B. Walker and Sons Incorporated of Pascagoula, Mississippi (hull #213) as the Mr. Eddie for the North Bank Towing Company of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 1998, the North Bank Towing Company was acquired by Odyssea Vessels Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2007, she was acquired by Dawn Offshore Services Incorporated of Gretna, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Bayou Dawn.

Powered by two, GM 12V149NA diesel engines, with Twin Disc MG540 reduction gears. Turning two, 68(in) by 54(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW generators, driven by two, GM 3-71 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 22,000 gallons of fuel, 450 gallons of lube oil, and 5,000 gallons of potable water.

The tug's towing equipment consists of a single drum, Smatco 48-DPS towing winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire.
