Built in 1964, by Marine Welding and Repair Works of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #6435) as the Bobby M. for the Economy Boat Store Company of Memphis, Tennessee.
In 1994, the tug was acquired by the Choctaw Transportation Company of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Ms. Paula.
In 2001, she was acquired by the Inland Dredging Company of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.
Repowered in 2006, the tug is powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.17:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
