Built in 1961, by the Houma Shipbuilding Company of Houma, Louisiana (hull #1) as the Crochet 4 for the M. L. Crochet Towing Company of Montegut, Louisiana.

In 1974, the tug was acquired by Avondale Industries of New Orleans Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Avon I.

In 1989, she was acquired by McKinney Towing Incorporated of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Sandra Nodurft.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by American Commercial Lines Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by Seven Point Marine Services of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Bayou Lady.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
