Built in 1996, by by Hudson Shipbuilders Incorporated of Pascagoula, Mississippi (hull #1191) and completed by Verret Shipyard Incorporated Plaquemine, Louisiana (hull #1982) as the Elissa for Deloach Marine Services of Port Allen, Louisiana.
In 2007, the tug was acquired by the Ingram Marine Group of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she retained her name.
In 2022, she as acquired by the Intracoastal Tug and Barge Company of Maurice, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Repose.
Repowered in 2008, she is driven by two Cummins KTA38 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears at a ratio of 7:1. She is a twin screw towboat rated at 1,800 horsepower.
