Built in 1942, by St. Louis Shipbuilding of St. Louis, Missouri as the Celeste for the Southern States Towing Company of Memphis, Tennessee.

The tug was later acquired by the Foss Launch and Tug Company of Tacoma, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Charles Foss.

Her current and or final disposition is unknown.
