Built in 1998, by Rodriguez Shipbuilding Incorporated of Coden, Alabama (hull #178) as the Celia Ann for Central Gulf Towing Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 2025, the tug was acquired by Trinity Tugs LLC. of Galliano, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Tex B. Tregre.

Originally powered by two, Cummins NTA-14 M diesel engines. With Twin Disc 516 reduction gears, at ratio of 5:1. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 1,200 horsepower.

In 2025, the tug was rebuilt and repowered with two, Tier compliant, six cylinder, Cummins QSK19-M diesel engines producing 725 hp each. Turning two, four bladed, 54(in) by 58(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower.

The tug's capacities are 12,000 gallons of fuel, and 6,400 gallons of water.
