Built in 1984, by Brice Shipbuilding of Chauvin, Louisiana (hull #4) as the Harvey Invader for Harvey Gulf International Marine of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The tug was eventually acquired by Fleur De Lis Marine of Gretna, Louisiana where she was renamed as the La Invader.
She is a twin screw tug rated at 4,000 horsepower.
