Built in 1963, by St. Louis Ship boats of St. Louis, Missouri (hull #1981) as the P.V. Branum for the Waterfront Services Company of Cairo, Illinois.

In 1966, the Waterfront Services Company renamed the tug as the Leona Wolter.

In 1972, the Waterfront Services Company renamed the tug as the P.V. Branum.

In 1983, the Waterfront Services Company renamed the tug as the as the John Holland.

In 1983, she was acquired by the Barbour Metal Boat Works Company of St. Louis, Missouri. Where she was renamed as the Charles Baugh.

In 1994, the tug was acquired by the Madison Coal and Supply Company of Charleston, West Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Andy Mullins.

In 2010, the Madison Coal and Supply Company, become Amherst Madison Incorporated of Charleston, West Virginia. Where the tug retained her name.

Repowered in 2002. She is driven by two Cummins N14-M diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. The tug is twin a screw pushboat, rated at 1,050 horsepower.
