Built in 2016, by the Eastern Shipbuilding Corporation of Panama City, Florida (hull #257) as the Jeffery McAllister for the McAllister Towing and Transportation Company of New York, New York.
She was the eleventh tractor tug designed by Jensen Maritime Consultants of Seattle, Washington for McAllister Towing and Transportation. The ninth tractor tug constructed by the Eastern Shipbuilding Corporation for McAllister Towing.

Powered by two, Tier III compliant, Caterpillar 3516CHD diesel engines. She was the fourth Tier III compliant tug in McAllister Towing's fleet. With Lufkin gearboxes turning two, Schottel SRP1215 "z-drives" for a rated 5,150 horsepower.
The tug is outfitted with remote control start and stop capability. She features a full engine room monitoring system, with remote monitoring capability at the Helm station. Her hull will be fitted with underwater submarine fendering.
Her capacities are 28,280 gallons of fuel oil, 500 gallons of lube oil, and 6,700 gallons of potable water and a 3,000 gallon capacity for AFF Foam.
The tug is ABS Classed +A-1 Towing, +A.M.S. The fire fighting equipment is driven by two 12V-92TA diesel engines driving two Nijhuis HGT1 pumps rated at 11,600 Gallons Per Minute. With two Skum MK-250EL/VR remote controlled monitors, with foam injection capability as well as a 1,100 Gallons Per Minute deluge system.
Her towing gear consists of one JonRie, double brake escort winch. Outfitted with 450(ft) of 7(in) of Amstel Blue synthetic rope mounted on the bow.
