GOPHER STATE

Built in 1974, by Halter Marine Services Incorporated of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #410) as the Gopher State for the Midwest Towing Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In 1987, the tug was acquired by the Chotin Transportation Company of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Daytona.

In 1995, she was acquired by the Brent Transportation Corporation of Greenville, Mississippi. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2020, she was acquired by Imperial River Transport LLC. of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. Where the tug was renamed as the Stacy Lynn.

Repowered in 1978, she is driven by two GM 12-645E5C diesel engines. With Reintjes reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.95:1. She is a twin screw towboat, with kort nozzles, rated at 4,600 horsepower.
