DELTA CHRISTIE

Built in 1981, by Bayou Black Shipyard Incorporated of Gibson, Louisiana (hull #8) as the Delta Christie for the Delta Mud and Chemical Company of Houma, Louisiana.

In 1986, the tug was acquired by the South Texas Towing Company Incorporated of Port Lavaca, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Tiffany J.

In 1992, she was acquired by Dixie Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Navidad.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2021, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houston, Texas.

Repowered in 2008, the tug was powered by two Cummins QSK19 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.48:1. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,320 horsepower.
