Built in 1944 by the San Diego Marine Construction Company of San Diego, California as the Golden West No.2 for the Star and Crescent Boat Company of San Diego, California.

The tug was later acquired by the Pacific Towboat and Salvage Company of Long Beach, California. Where she retained her name.

She is no longer documented. Her current and/or final fate in unknown.
