Built in 1946 by Nichols Boat Works of Hood River, Oregon as the Louie III for the Westport Towboat Company of Westport, Oregon.

In 1963, the tug was acquired by the Knappton Towboat Company of Astoria, Oregon. Where she retained her name.

She was later owned by a series of individuals. Where the tug was renamed as the Louie.

She is no longer documented. Her current and/or final fate is unknown.
