Built in 1981, by the Cenac Shipyard Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #30) as the Boo Cenac for the Cenac Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.

In 1989, the tug was sold. Where she was renamed as the Marquita.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by Dana Marine Services Incorporated of Theodore, Alabama. Where she was renamed as the Kirsten Grace.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,880 horsepower.
