Cooper Marine & Timberlands (CMT), headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, is in the business of providing timber products to numerous wood-consuming industries in the southeastern United States, marine transportation along the Tennessee-Tombigbee River and Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, and stevedoring services in the Port of Mobile.

CMT's Marine Operations consist of a fleet of 19 push boats (up to a maximum 3200 HP) and more than 421 barges. These boats and barges work the Tennessee-Tombigbee River system as well as the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from Houston, Texas to Panama City, Florida serving a wide variety of bulk customers with products including steel, wood bark and pellets, coal, pig iron, scrap, limestone, cement, ores and alloys. CMT’s barge fleeting can accommodate 260 barges, and includes a barge cleaning and repair facility in the harbor of the Port of Mobile, Alabama.
