Brown Water Marine Services was founded in 1989, by Hugh "Tim" Chapman. A family owned and operated company. Brown Water Marine Services is based at Mile 538 on the Intercoastal Waterway in Ingleside, Texas. Their facilities feature 11.5 acres, with over 1,500 feet of bulkheaded dock located adjacent to the Intercoastal waterway, including a large mechanics shop and office.

Along with office facilities, the company maintains a repair facility. Marine Ways Incorporated is located at Mile 533 along Intercoastal Waterway. The facility features an in house mechanic’s shop with five, full time mechanics in conjunction, with a full service ship yard.
