Founded in 1952, Devall moves specialty chemicals along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and Lower Mississippi River.

In 2021, the company was acquired by Southern Towing Company of Memphis, Tennessee. With Devall continuing operation under the Devall brand, as a new division of Southern Towing Company.

In 2023, Devall Towing and Southern Towing Company (STC) are to fully integrate their operations and management name Southern Devall.
