Terral RiverService, Inc. was formed in 1992 through a merger of Terral Barge Line and Great River Grain by John Terral and Tom Gattle. The company currently has facilities throughout the Lower Mississippi region, and is equipped to transport, handle, and store virtually any dry bulk commodity.

In 2021, Terral RiverService purchased Vidalia Dock and Storage Company Incorporated of Natchez, Mississippi.
