Founded in 1977, by Al Bancroft the company is headquartered in South Paris, Maine.

The company began by servicing paper mills and pulp mills throughout the state of Maine, as well as throughout the New England area.

In 2002, Mark Bancroft acquired the company from his father. After the acquisition the company expanded into crane and wind turbine service

Bancroft Contracting Incorporated provides services such as code and structural welders, millwrights, pipe fitters, industrial electricians, riggers, iron workers, form, frame and finish carpenters. As well as, equipment operators, fence installers, and skilled workers.
