The company provided general towing services in, and around the New York Harbor, Hudson River, Long Island Sound, Delaware Bay and Chesapeake Bay.

New York Marine Towing Incorporated also provided coastwise towing services, and vessel assist services.

In 2016, the company ceased operations.
