Built in 2021, by the Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corporation of Salisbury, Maryland (hull #133) as the Charles Hughes for the Vane Brothers Company of Baltimore, Maryland.

She was the fourth Salisbury class towboat constructed for the Vane Brothers Company, by Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corporation.

Powered by two, Tier IV compliant, Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines, with Twin Disc MGX-5600 reduction gears at a ratio 6:1. Turning two, Hung Shen, troost style, five bladed, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, with flanking rudders. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two 99 kW Marathon generators, powered by two John Deere 4045 diesel engines.

Her towing equipment consists of two, 65 ton, Patterson winches. With JonRie InterTech capstans mounted on the bow and stern.
