S/R KENTUCKY

Built in 1972, by St. Louis Ship Incorporated of St. Louis, Missouri (hull #3072) as the Exxon Kentucky for the Exxon Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware.

In 1993, in the wake of the Exxon Valdez incident. The Exxon Shipping Company was rebranded as the SeaRiver Maritime Company of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the S/R Kentucky.

In 2003, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she was renamed as the City of Charleston.

In 2005, she was acquired by the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Golden Eagle.

In 2016, the Marquette Transportation Company renamed the tug as the Quenton Craig Harris.

Re powered in 2013, she is powered by two, Tier III compliant, EMD-16-710G7C-T3 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.515:1. Turning two, Avdl, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 8,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, John Deere 6081 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 127,904 gallons of fuel, and 3,036 gallon of lube oil.
