Built in 1974, by the Dravo Corporation of Neville Island, Pennsylvania (hull #6183) as the Bernard G. for the Alter Barge Line Incorporated of Wynne, Arkansas.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

Powered by two, EMD-16-645E7B diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.35:1. Turning two, 108(in) by 113.75(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 6,140 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, John Deer 6081 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 65,103 gallons of fuel, and 1,510 gallon of lube oil.
